“I promote the services which the NSW Department of Justice provides in supporting people and communities,” says Adol, Emerging Communities Liaison Officer.
“With my guidance, various multicultural communities in NSW receive advice and support from our Justice services.”
Adol is driven in her role by her passionate belief in making a difference to the community.
“I get a sense of satisfaction and purpose when I receive calls from community members who say they were able to get assistance with their legal problems through my referral. It motivates me to offer even more,” she enthuses.
Adol explains that through their continuous contact with various multicultural communities, the Department of Justice has developed a stronger relationship with these communities.
“Members of some of these multicultural communities are now more aware of the Justice services available, and are accessing these services – which is great,” she says.
Adol’s keen interest in helping to make a difference in her community is evident even outside of her workplace.
“I enjoy working with, and in the community. Therefore, I volunteer in my own time whenever I can to help in the community,” she says.
Apart from volunteering, Adol also enjoys travelling and cooking.
“I love experimenting with food from other cultures and trying out new recipes!”
