Andrew

“My role allows me to bring about positive change in our disadvantaged communities.”

Since joining the NSW Government Graduate Program in 2016, Andrew has had placements at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) and the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART). He is now on his final rotation of the Program at the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

“One of the reasons I applied to the NSW Government Graduate Program was the opportunity to complete rotations in different Government agencies. It’s a good way to find out what you are good at and interested in within a short period of time.”

While at DPC, Andrew’s role spanned across policy, data analysis, project management, and intergovernmental and interagency stakeholder engagement.

“Within this rotation I was proud to be a part of a project which seeks to reduce domestic violence in the New England and North West region of the state. Our aim was to build awareness of domestic violence and build capacity and strategies to address it. My role was to create the project plan to deliver this piece of work.”

When he’s not in the office Andrew enjoys spending time with friends, playing video games, exercising and learning more about science and technology.
