State Transit is looking for self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic who are able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team.

You will have a commitment to safety, as well as good communication and comprehension skills. This role will allow you to leverage your exceptional customer service skills and ultimately provide a better experience for State Transit customers.

Full-Time Shifts:

 

  • Shifts include early mornings, mid mornings, broken, afternoons and late evenings.
  • Broken shifts involve working two-part shift length of 3 to 5 hours with a total span from sign on to sign off of between 10 and 12 hours. There is an unpaid break between shift portions of not less than 2 hours.
    Rostered to work an average of 5 days over a 6 day period - Monday to Saturday.
  • You can nominate yourself to work Sundays, subject to availability.  

 

Part-Time Shifts:

  • 5 days per week, Monday to Friday only (some depots 2-3 days per week)
  • Limited access to weekends and overtime
  • 15-35 hours per week
  • Shifts average duration between 4 -7.5 hours per day
  • Morning and Afternoon shifts to cover peak periods
  • Set times for shifts, same shift everyday either AM or PM
  • Shifts greater than 5 hours in length will include an unpaid meal break of between 40 and 50 minutes

Bus Drivers operate public passenger, school and charter buses within the Sydney region, along specific routes and according to timetables.
