“I was Trainee of the Year.”

“I have great opportunities working as a Customer Service Officer for NSW Department of Industry’s State Training Services,” says Eden. 

“I started working for the Department over two years ago, and in that short time I’ve learnt so much.

“I was Trainee of the Year for Certificate III in Business Administration in the Illawarra and South East Region and State Finalist,” she says proudly.

Eden is responsible for responding to incoming phone calls and processing incoming mail. She also assists with ‘The Way Ahead’ program by contacting Aboriginal students who have recently started an apprenticeship or traineeship and offering them the opportunity to have a mentor. 

“I’m also on the Vocational Training Committee to help with the awards night for vocational education and training (VET) awards in the Illawarra and South East Region,” she explains.

Eden believes by working with such a supportive team as hers, she is able to complete her tasks to the best of her abilities.

“I enjoy the diversity of my work and I love the people I work with. Everyone is always happy to help if needed and I get to be part of an amazing team,” she enthuses. 

Eden is ambitious and looking forward to what lies ahead both in her work and personal life.
