Job Grade / Classification: Environment Officer Class 5
Employment Type: Full Time, On-going
Location: Haymarket. Will relocate to Parramatta around the end of 2019.

About the Role
OEH’s Policy Division supports the Minister and OEH Executive by leading the development of strategic policy, influencing whole-of-government and national policy formation, and providing policy advice. 
Each Assistant Policy Officer contributes to developing innovative ways to connect communities to conservation and culture and to deliver great outcomes for environment and heritage. 

A core part of the Policy Division function is to consider complex problems and design innovative policy solutions – your role in this may include:
• Researching topics that will help care for and protect NSW’s environment and heritage. This includes the natural environment, Aboriginal country, culture and heritage, and built heritage. 
• Preparing reports on research findings and other written material to contribute to the evidence base for the development of policy advice.
• Assisting in the review and evaluation of policies. 
• Undertaking assigned project work to facilitate the timely delivery of great outcomes for the environment and heritage.
• Collaborating with working groups, committees and assist with consultations to support stakeholder engagement in policy development.
