CSI’s primary objective is to provide meaningful employment opportunities to over 5,000 inmates throughout the NSW Correctional system, to assist in reducing reoffending and the cost of corrections. To achieve this, CSI takes a commercial approach with its industries replicating real world workplaces and developing contemporary skill sets that lead to inmates gaining and retaining employment upon release. CSI has over 100 commercially operating business units in a wide range of manufacturing and service industries across 26 Correctional Centres in NSW.

CSI is looking for a dynamic Textile & Laundry Supervisor to join and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team in managing existing diverse markets and developing new opportunities. This will be achieved by contributing to the effective and efficient functions within the CSI Textiles and Laundry Divisions.

Primary Purpose of the Role: Support the Corrective Services Industries (CSI) corporate office in managing procurement, reporting on procurement and customer service through high level administrative and operational support.

The successful candidate must possess appropriate qualifications including:

  • Trade Certificate in Clothing Production and / or minimum 3 years’ experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Procurement
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Capacity to use the Business Information System – Pronto.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet competing deadlines in a high volume work environment.
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service, and work as part of a team.
