The Opportunity
 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Development Manager to be a part of our Strategic Projects team within Transport for NSW. This role plays a key part in driving the development, scoping, definition and approvals required to initiate projects or programs and work with private sector proponents to effectively achieve agreed quality deliverables and value for Government and reports to Executive Director Strategic Projects.

 

This role is a key member of a team that develops integrated transport and precinct property development based solutions, delivering on government objectives and maximising return on investment. Acting for the principal this role exploits development opportunities from inception through design, approvals and delivery, protecting transport operations and working commercially with the private sector

 

We are looking for a result driven candidate who can work collaboratively and provide expert advice and input into commercial deal structuring including risk identification, allocation and management, disseminating information from consultant advisors including at a minimum legal, finance, transport, planning, design, assurance, cost and safety issues.

 

We are looking for a Development Manager who has experience in contributing towards the delivery strategy and project business cases, leading and managing the implementation of project plans including scheduling of activities, key milestones and deliverables within an agreed budget.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proven skills, knowledge and experience in the successful development and/or delivery of major property, urban renewal and infrastructure projects.
  • Proven knowledge of the principles of property, urban renewal and Transport development and evaluation, relating to large scale multi-disciplinary programs or projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and liaising with private sector proponents on behalf of Government to achieve project objectives.
