Exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to shape the delivery of world-class, digital health services in NSW.


Role Outline

The Director ICT Investment Management leads the ICT investment strategy for the NSW health system and is accountable for ICT investment management and ICT program and project prioritisation to ensure the achievement of objectives in relation to health system ICT development and investment.


eHealth NSW is responsible for the delivery of digital technology in clinical care, business services and smart infrastructure, providing a digitally enabled and integrated health system that delivers quality outcomes and patient-centred health experiences to the people of NSW. eHealth NSW works in close partnership with Local Health Districts and other NSW Health organisations, with clinical engagement and leadership being particularly important to success of eHealth strategies, programs and services. Your track record of achievement in leadership and management of ICT strategy and investment in a complex environment will enable you to deliver excellent results and underpin your success in this role. Ideally you will have a thorough understanding of current trends and issues in the use of digital/ICT solutions in clinical and corporate settings, and a detailed understanding of the broader aspects of digital/ICT strategy, processes and frameworks.

Essential Requirements


The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
  • Extensive executive management experience, and a record of achievement, in leadership and management of ICT strategy and investment in a complex environment, including expert knowledge in ICT investment processes
  • Substantial experience in developing business cases for large ICT investments and a working knowledge and understanding of investment management and value management practices, including prioritisation, benefits realisation and investment evaluation
  • Thorough understanding of current trends and issues in the use of ICT in clinical and corporate settings, and a detailed understanding of the broader aspects of ICT strategy and ICT processes and frameworks
This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Health Service senior executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $203,432 to $225,923 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
