Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination

This is a NSW Health Category A position. All Category A applicants must read, understand and agree to comply with Policy Directive PD2011_005 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Diseases. Preferred applicants must provide evidence of protection against specified diseases prior to appointment and medical practitioner costs to determine protection is covered by the applicant. 

Preferred applicants must also participate in a pre-employment Health Assessment (PEHA) prior to appointment. 

What you'll be doing

The Manager Operations is responsible for the efficient operation of production and sterilisation, maintenance and dispatch/transport departments to ensure services to customers are met.
Responsible to the Manager, NSW Linen Services, the position will lead and coordinate all departments in providing a customer focused service to the customers of HealthShare Linen Services.
The role and responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the mission, values, customer promise, strategic priorities, performance goals, delegations, policies, procedures and operations systems of HealthShare, and in line with the NSW Health Code of Conduct and the Capabilities required to perform this role competently.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience in production, transport and administration requirements in a large and complex/diverse service industry organisation, including relevant qualifications or equivalent. This includes sound knowledge and practical experience in working with systems such as HealthRoster, R12 iProcurement and SharePoint.
  • Sound analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret information, prepare written reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results with a customer focused approach.
  • Proven engagement, collaboration and negotiation skills with the capability to build, maintain and use relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proven effectiveness leading a team, coaching and developing capability of managers and staff, whilst always fostering a performance based and customer focused work culture.
  • Proven capacity to contribute to and implement safety, productivity, cost effectiveness and quality initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, improve performance and project manage.
  • Current NSW driver’s license and capacity and willingness to travel to HealthShare NSW business and service locations throughout NSW, which may include overnight stays in regional/remote areas.
