As a minimum teaching qualification teachers must hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) or its successor.

The following selection criteria form a specific part of the selection process. Candidates for this role must address each of these items specifically in their application.

 

  1. Degree in Early Childhood Teaching/Early Childhood Education and/or relevant area specialising in Children's Services (0-12 years).
  2. A minimum of two years (post-degree) work in Children’s Services, at least part of which has been gained over the last 18 months and comprehensive current knowledge of the industry and job roles and strong understanding of current trends and diversity within the Children’s Services industry.
  3. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110), or its successor.  See Note 1 in the position information package.
  4. High level written and oral communication skills in English.
  5. Proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial or community environments.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional currency.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to quality customer services.
  8. Demonstrated organisational skills.
