Purpose of Position

The Short Term Staff Pool Physiotherapist contributes to the provision of flexible and consistent Physiotherapy Services in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD).

 

The Physiotherapy Service is part of the Allied Health Directorate.

  • Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is seeking applications from suitably qualified Physiotherapists to provide clinical support on a short term temporary basis. Physiotherapists in the Allied Health Short Term Staffing Solutions Pool may be offered placements to fill short term vacancies within NBMLHD facilities
  • Applicants appointed to the Allied Health Short Term Staffing Solutions Pool will initially be classified as a Physiotherapist - Level 1 or 2 (depending on qualifications and experience) under the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award. In addition, successful applicants will be assessed to determine their suitability for relieving in positions at Level 3 or above

Selection Criteria

Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy and current National Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA Demonstrated post graduate clinical experience in a health care setting. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Ability to prioritise workloads, work independently and within an inter-professional team environment Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills Record of ongoing professional development Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Access) Level 1: Newly qualified Phsyiotherapist with less than 3 years clinical experience OR Level 2: Minimum 3 years clinical experience as a Physiotherapist and ability to work with minimal supervision.
