Position Information

Londonderry Public School has an enrolment of 229 students, including 19 Aboriginal students, and is located in the Hawkesbury region of Western Sydney. The school has a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy, visible learning and the integration of technology across the curriculum. Londonderry Public School is an Early Action for Success – Phase 2 school and has an Instructional Leader to support Literacy and Numeracy programs. Londonderry PS is a Positive Behaviour For Learning school and programs supporting student leadership, welfare and wellbeing are a priority. The school has a strong sporting and performing arts culture with students participating at local, regional and state levels. Londonderry PS has an actively engaged Parents and Citizens’ Association and is extensively involved with the local community.

Selection Criteria

  1. Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with a demonstrated ability to use innovative pedagogy and digital technology to engage students and develop their skills as future focused learners.
  2. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, differentiated teaching and learning programs in Literacy and Numeracy. 
  3. Strong interpersonal skills which build relationships and engage students, staff and the community.
  4. Skills and/or experience to coordinate enrichment programs that support Gifted and Talented students in academic, sporting and creative arts programs.


An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
