“I want to help shape the future of NSW.”

Andrew only recently joined the NSW Government as Paralegal, Government and Corporate Services at the NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation, but feels his career is already well underway.

“My career in Government has only begun, yet I can already see the wealth of opportunities available to me,” he says optimistically.

“My role allows me to understand Government processes, and as a recently qualified lawyer, I have also been given the ability to build my skills as an Acting Solicitor for my Department.”

Andrew’s role involves acting as a professional point of contact for staff and Government clients by responding to legal enquiries for advice, and managing claims and litigation. He liaises with his General Counsel by undertaking legal research and assisting with preparation of draft advices and briefing documents.

“I truly enjoy advising and legally representing NSW Government divisions and related entities within my Department,” he says.

Andrew adds he feels driven in his role by the support of his team and the opportunities he has before him to help shape the future of NSW.

“It’s exciting to know that at such a young age, I can already have a say in Government and shape its future,” he says.

“The legal work is significant, and I work with a very supportive team of people who are also interested in my future growth.”

Outside of his workplace, Andrew enjoys keeping active, learning new languages and travelling.
