As Acting Policy Manager, Waterways Access and Reform for Transport for NSW, David is responsible for advising the Government on strategic policy decisions relating to the State’s maritime program.
His role involves engaging with stakeholders, providing leadership and direction for delivery agencies, and improving access to the State’s waterways for commercial and recreational users.
Having the opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders to provide solutions to complex problems for the benefit of the NSW community is what David enjoys most about his role.
“I enjoy engaging with the community, industry and other agencies and levels of Government to deliver practical solutions to problems,” he enthuses.
“Part of that is communicating complex policy considerations and different viewpoints to achieve outcomes that benefit the community.”
David’s passion for the water extends outside of his workplace too, and he enjoys diving, fishing and boating.
