Leslie Zoghbi is the Manager Service Delivery and Response in Operations at Sydney Trains.

Leslie recalls that he joined Sydney Trains in November 1997 as a Customer Service Attendant at Cronulla Train Station. He spent a decade working at nearly every station on the network, and then progressed through various roles including Duty Manager and Station Manager.

Leslie found his calling and purpose when he realised his passion for people and operations.

“I was fascinated by the amazing coordination efforts that came together to move customers along our rail network. I was in awe of our Operational leaders who had a level of network knowledge that amazed me every time I met them. I wanted to be like them! These staff were the ones who came out to stations during major emergencies and incidents and took charge. These were the ones everyone sighed in relief when they would turn up at a crisis. They were my heroes!”

Now part of Operations Management, Leslie manages emergency responses and incident management for the entire network. He enjoys being able to contribute at a higher level and make a difference for commuters.

In his spare time, Leslie enjoys building models and coaching his son’s soccer team.
