“I have to be sensitive to various situations.”

“I have constant interaction with internal and external stakeholders, making sure that all needs are met,” says Isabella, Executive Assistant for the Executive Director at the NSW Department of Family and Community Services.

No two days are ever the same for Isabella in her role.

“I manage a team of admin staff to achieve the units’ business needs on a daily basis,” she explains.

Isabella is also the point of contact for the Executive Director, and needs to ensure that all stakeholders are approached respectfully and professionally.

“I have to make sure that people are happy with what’s being asked of them and that any special requirements are met,” she says.

Outside of work, Isabella indulges in a very different interest.

“I do costume-making. I enjoy starting with a piece of material and seeing the final product worn,” she smiles.
