As the current Director, Finance (Business Partner) for the NSW Department of Justice, William is the strategic finance adviser for the Courts and Tribunal Services Division, where he supports the senior executive around financial and budgetary management to achieve desired objectives.

“I engage with varying stakeholders across the organisation at a senior level to enhance best practice and delivery of outcomes. I thoroughly enjoy the ability to learn and engage openly and transparently with the senior executives across the Department,” he says.

Prior to joining the Department of Justice, William was the Chief Financial Officer at the TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute, where he was involved in leading changes to the financial elements of its operating model to move it to a contestable, commercially viable and customer centric model.

William is a passionate advocate for good corporate governance to support sustainable business models.

“I see my role contributing to the delivery of important public services that have a direct impact on the community. As both a Chartered Accountant in the public sector and a NSW Regional Council member of Chartered Accountants ANZ, I highly recommend that Chartered Accountants consider joining the NSW public sector,” he explains.

With two small children at home, William is passionate about work-life balance and spending quality time together with his family, including taking them on holidays to explore different parts of the world.
