Jacqui Strecker is the Head of Curatorial at the Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences. She leads and manages a large team of inter-disciplinary curators. She leads the curation of exhibitions, develops the collection and works on research projects and commissions.

“I find that working in the arts and culture sector offers many opportunities to collaborate across institutions and collections. There are many creative aspects to my role in developing exhibitions and commissions, and I enjoy representing the museum as a passionate advocate for our amazing collection.”

Jacqui identifies her leadership and collaboration skills as critical to the role, as her team works across disciplines to deliver projects.

Jacqui is passionate about combining her two loves of travelling and art. She recently visited the Venice Biennale to see recent curatorial and artistic practice in her spare time. She also travelled to Berlin to attend a provenance research symposium at the Jewish Museum. A busy career woman, Jacqui chooses to unwind by spending time with her family, reading books and going running.
