“It’s essential for NSW to have a skilled workforce. It’s not just about the policies and procedures – it’s also about coming together and sharing experiences,” says Jacqueline, NSW Corrective Services Senior Learning and Development Facilitator.
In her NSW Government job, Jacqueline designs, develops and delivers operationally-focussed training in relation to offender management.
“I’m currently coordinating training for ‘Working with Sex Offenders’ and ‘Domestic Violence’ programs, which gives me the opportunity to write and deliver training on very important issues,” she says.
As part of her work, Jacqueline makes recommendations to management following student assessments, and delivers advice to students during training programs.
Jacqueline has been working with the NSW Government for 11 years, and during that time has had the valuable opportunity to work in a variety of positions.
“I’ve been given the opportunity to work in eight different roles over the years, which has really enriched my career and personal life,” she says.
Outside of work, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her loved ones.
“It’s important to me to have a good work/life balance, especially with a job that can be very demanding.”
