“There’s a substantial diversity in terms of the issues that we deal with, and we have real potential to influence to achieve lasting change for the people of the North Coast,” says Lisa, Senior Regional Coordinator – North Coast for NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet.
“On a daily basis, I could be anywhere between Taree and Tweed Heads working with agencies, local government, and other stakeholders on anything ranging from growing local industries and economic projects that deliver jobs to addressing homelessness, domestic violence and other social issues,” she relates.
Lisa is part of the Regional Coordination Branch, which defines its mission as to ‘Enable, influence and coordinate outcomes that achieve the Government’s priorities for NSW communities’.
“The role of the organisation is to collaborate with other Government agencies and stakeholders to deliver the NSW Government’s regional priorities and reform agendas,” Lisa explains.
In her role, Lisa has unique and privileged access to the stakeholders and communities that the Government serves.
“Working with agencies to meet the long-term needs of NSW is at the forefront of our minds every day,” she says.
Lisa is a nature enthusiast at heart.
“I enjoy going out into nature, especially after a busy week. I tend to go swimming in the hinterland, visit local markets, or enjoy the local arts scene,” she says.
