As Acting Senior Project Officer for the Ageing, Disability and Home Care division of NSW Family and Community Services (FACS), Sunaj has the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders on a variety of projects designed to deliver on a common vision to support people with a disability in our community to realise their potential.
“I liaise with internal and external stakeholders like the Minister’s Office and FACS central office on a variety of important matters affecting the people in our community with disability,” Sunaj explains.
“On a day-to-day basis, I’m involved in rolling out new systems, like the new application for TRIM records management system we’ve just rolled out. I’m also responsible for raising urgent matters with the directorates.”
Sunaj takes great satisfaction in her job from knowing she’s contributing to FACS’ vision for the future. This includes her contribution to FACS’ transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), due to be rolled out in 2018.
“I take pride in being able to work on projects and initiatives that will make a difference to the bigger picture for the people with disability in our community,” she enthuses.
Outside of work, Sunaj enjoys participating in various activities with her two daughters, writing and reading, and likes to keep up-to-date with what’s going on around the world through social media and various current affairs programs.
