Where you'll be working:
Liverpool Hospital is the major health service for South Western Sydney providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of statewide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.

Liverpool City and South Western Sydney is home to people from diverse cultures, religions and languages, making our community vibrant and exciting. What you'll be doing
Provide assistance to the District Director, Biomedical Engineering in the day to day operation of Liverpool Hospital Biomedical Engineering Department in the provision of services to the hospital as required.

Selection Criteria 

  • A degree in Biomedical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University, acceptable for membership of Engineers Australia (as Professional Engineer), Or advanced diploma in electronics(or equivalent) plus extensive Biomedical Engineering Field Experience
  • High level of expertise and knowledge of medical equipment asset management.
  • Excellent strategic planning and policy development skills. Proven leadership and management.
  • Superior communication skills, including negotiation, interpersonal and liaison skills.
  • Superior analytical, organisational and conceptual skills to allow the position holder to develop, recommend and evaluate innovative equipment management strategies in response to needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage clinical technology, including planning, acquisition, implementation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Demonstrated contract management skills. Demonstrated understanding of key healthcare delivery and financing issues. Computer skills including the ability to use common word processing, presentation, spread sheet, and database tools.
  • Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
