We have casual opportunities available with rates starting from $48.91 per hour.

The Office of Sport works with key sector partners to promote and deliver a vibrant and valued sport and active recreation sector that enhances the lives of the people of NSW.

The Office is responsible for planning, managing and delivering high quality venues, facilities, sport and active recreation development programs, high-performance sport, sports integrity and safety. It is also the driver for NSW sport policy and strategy, the formation and dissemination of insights and information, and the promotion of partnerships.

The Office of Sport has a number of Sport & Recreation Centres across the state that contain a range of both sporting and accommodation facilities that differs between sites. They are used for a wide variety of purposes that support our mission including sport development, outdoor education programs and events. 

About the team

The Central Reservations Team has been newly created as part of the implementation of a new operating environment that utilises both Ungerboeck (event management) and StarRez (accommodation management).

This new team will be the first point of contact for event organisers to engage with the Office of Sport to book facilities and for individuals to register in Office of Sport programs. The Central Reservations Team is responsible for all booking management up to the event delivery stage (approximately six weeks prior) which will then be managed by the relevant site.


About the role

The Central Reservations Agents provide direct service to our customers. As an Agent, you will be required to:

  • Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality customer service to clients consistent with the values of the Office of Sport to deliver a high-quality end to end customer experience
  • Respond and follow up customer enquiries, tailor program packages, prepare quotes, administer booking contracts, registrations.
  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Follow up outstanding debts by sending bill reminders and contacting clients, as well as verifying discrepancies and resolve customers billing issues

The operating hours of Central Reservations is Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need the following experience and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in sales and bookings coordination in a relevant field such as accommodation, events or tourism
  • Preferable experience in working within a CRM / ERP solution, preferably Ungerboeck and/or StarRez student accommodation management system.
  • Ability to successfully complete a National Criminal Records Check and a Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance
