What’s on Offer:

As Manager Financial Administration, you’ll be:

  • Managing the delivery of all finance and accounting functions, financial systems and reporting requirements for the Rural Assistance Authority (RAA).
  • Earning between $124,965 - $144,521 pa plus superannuation
  • Working as part of the greater NSW Department of Primary Industries team
  • In a full-time ongoing position located in Orange


What You’ll Do:
 

  • Undertake all aspects of managing a small team including managing performance, motivating and developing staff, developing and managing team business plans and budgets
  • Manage the delivery of all RAA finance and accounting functions, financial systems and reporting requirements including:
    • Effectively balancing the complexity and diversity of financial management activities and operational priorities to achieve multiple, non-negotiable deadlines
    • Providing comprehensive financial advice (including complex briefings) to the RAA Director, CEO and Board
    • Preparing statutory financial statements and reports and ministerial correspondence
    • Collaborating with and providing information to both internal and external auditors
    • Developing, monitoring and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, guidelines, business practices and tools which comply with NSW Public Finance & Audit Act and NSW Treasury directions
    • Managing and supporting the RAA audit and risk committee and implementing committee decisions
    • Mitigating the RAA’s risk profile by implementing tools and practices to manage fraud and business systems failure


What You’ll Have:

  • Tertiary qualification in accountancy or finance and eligibility for professional membership of a recognised accounting body
  • Demonstrated experience in management accounting and financial practices, systems and controls.
