Manager Maintenance Delivery

Roads and Maritime Services is part of a new integrated transport authority led by Transport for NSW (TfNSW) that aims to create a better transport system, one that is fundamentally designed around the needs and expectations of customers, communities and the economy.

The Manager Maintenance Delivery provides strong leadership, develops the skills of the team and strives for best practice in delivery of nominated maintenance projects as well as driving efficiencies in operations to reduce costs in order to achieve and maintain commercial competitiveness.  The role has 8-12 (Direct) and 200-300 (Indirect) in the team dependent on the number of projects. Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead programs and projects ensuring that nominated programs of road, bridge and traffic infrastructure projects and maintenance works are planned and delivered to specified time, cost, quality and scope requirements.
  • Allocate, reallocate and develop resources and achieve plans and act flexibly to achieve the best possible outcomes within resource limits.
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with all stakeholders to ensure that their expectations are being met.

We are looking for a motivated manager who has the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The successful applicant should have demonstrated experience in managing and developing people. This will be supported by relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or management or related disciplines.
