About Our Team

Our Digital Licences Platform team have worked on projects such as the Covid Vaccine Certificate and the Digital Driver’s Licence. We pride ourselves on being responsive to customers’ needs, consistently delivering value to the people of NSW.

You will be joining a team that provides a scalable, reliable and flexible digital credentials ecosystem for NSW Government.

We use XP practices (including TDD, pair programming and CI/CD) to design and build fast stable software and get it into our customers’ hands quickly. We are committed to iterative delivery using the build, measure, learn paradigm.

The Digital Licences Platform team works with TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, microservices, and API management gateway (i.e., Apigee) to deliver end-to-end platforms.

We collaborate closely with other teams to architect and implement the right solutions, applying lean problem-solving to deliver value within a complex ecosystem.

About you:

  • Technical Expertise: 10+ years software development experience, including experience in full stack development with exceptional backend development knowledge. You will be experienced with:
  • TypeScript (or JavaScript, with typed language experience such as Java, C#)
  • Node.js
  • Design, Develop and Implement: You will be able to design, develop and implement scalable microservice based platforms, with cloud providers (such as AWS) – this is a must!
  • Critical Thinker: You have excellent critical thinking skills and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Leadership: Fostered effective working relationships with people and teams at all levels, using an approach grounded in empathy and curiosity.
  • Customer-oriented: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills You are motivated by, and take ownership of, delivering valuable outcomes to the people who use your software.
  • Attention to detail: Your ability to identify inconsistencies and errors is critical.
  • Outstanding communication skills: Your exceptional verbal and written skills will see you excel in this role.

The following skills are not required but will set you apart from the crowd:

  • Experience in DevOps and CI/CD
  • Experience in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
  • Experience in Nest JS, Express or serverless architecture
  • Sound knowledge of digital identity, authentication, security and privacy
