We have a unique opportunity to join our Inclusion team to contribute to inclusion and diversity improvements in the NSW Public Sector.

About the role
The Workforce Inclusion team delivers guidance and tools to improve inclusion and diversity in the NSW public sector. The team leads an integrated, intersectional inclusion strategy that is based on collaboration and development of best practice, innovative initiatives. 

 

The Senior Advisor, Inclusion (Identified Role) will have a great opportunity to work on exciting projects to improve the cultural safety capability of the NSW public sector and contribute to other projects to lift Aboriginal participation and employee experience.  

 

About you 
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic collaborator to build relationships and bring experience and evidence together to make a difference to inclusion in the NSW public sector.

 

We are looking for an individual who can: 

  • develop and maintain essential networks and relationships within the NSW public sector and with external parties and relevant industry groups.
  • work both independently and have a demonstrated capacity for effective teamwork
  • manage complex projects and work on whole of government initiatives
  • stay motivated in challenging situations and work in a fast paced, high volume environment

Essential Requirements 

Aboriginality – this role will involve the development and/or delivery of policy, programs and services which affect Aboriginal people and/or involve liaising directly with Aboriginal peoples and communities. 

 

This is an identified Aboriginal recruitment under clause 26 of the Government Sector Employment (General) Rules 2014 (NSW). 

 

The PSC considers that being an Aboriginal person is a genuine occupational qualification for this role as per s14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).

 

About the Public Service Commission

The Public Service Commission (PSC) is headed by an independent Public Service Commissioner and is a separate agency under the Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (GSE Act) that supports the Commissioner in the exercise of her functions and powers.

 

The PSC leads the design, development and implementation of the full range of workforce management strategies - including workforce capability, recruitment and assessment, performance management, and strategic workforce planning - to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the NSW public sector workforce.
