There is an exciting opportunity to join the Statistical Analysis team at NSW Family and Community Services (FACS) to shape future policy direction. The Statistical Analysis team works with policy makers and operational arms of the business to provide quantitative analysis and modelling services such as

  • statistical analysis for research and evaluation of programs
  • develop quantitative models for demand forecasting
  • lead data linkage projects across NSW and Commonwealth Government
  • drive advanced and sophisticated analytics capability using large and varied datasets

You will be responsible for undertaking modelling and analysis across a variety of projects to provide valuable insight and advice for FACS Policy and Program areas. You will work closely with the core business, and contribute to informing the policy formation that impacts FACS’ most vulnerable clients.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               


You will need to demonstrate the capabilities for the role, and hold appropriate tertiary qualifications. Relevant professional experience in quantitative analysis and statistical software packages is required.  This experience may have been obtained from a similar role in the public or private sectors.


To be successful in this role you must have excellent communication skills, work effectively in a diverse team, manage a range of stakeholders, lead multiple projects concurrently and be willing to dive into this exciting area of policy making.
