Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital! 

Do you have current medical practitioner, registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine as per the Staff Specialist (State) Award?  Do you have expertise and experience in communicable disease practice and control and public health operations?


The Staff Specialist Public Health is an operational and specialist role to provide high level support and technical advice on all aspects of public health in the Public Health Unit, working closely with the Director and two other Staff Specialists in the Public Health Unit. 
The specific purpose of the position is to have a strong focus on all aspects of managing and responding to the public health operations relating to COVID-19 control including surveillance, prevention, policy and practice, cluster and outbreak investigations, contact tracing, and systems approaches to control.  The position will also provide high level expertise in public health more broadly.
