Position Information

Gledswood Hills Public School, will open at the start of 2020 with approximately 420 students and is anticipated to experience continued growth over the coming years. Built to meet the population of Gledswood Hills/Gregory Hills growth corridor, the school will cater for up to 600 students (with a possibility of 1000 students when they complete stage 2 of the build).

Housed in a brand new, state-of-the art facilities, the school will have a strong focus on high quality teaching and learning. The school will cater for students from diverse language, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Future focused pedagogy and innovative practices that will engage and inspire students to be problem solvers will form the foundations of our school plan and strategic directions.

There will also be a commitment to excellence and achievement in all areas of education which shapes learning experiences that are authentic, challenging and participatory. There will be a strong focus on literacy, numeracy and research, evidence-based pedagogies.

Selection Criteria

Approval to teach infants and/or primary (K-6) with demonstrated ability to deliver high quality literacy and numeracy learning programs.

Knowledge and understanding of future focussed learning and willingness to work in a co-teaching environment to ensure the academic, social and emotional needs of all students are catered for.


Demonstrated experience in embedding ICT within the school to deliver authentic teaching and learning experiences.


Capacity and willingness to contribute to whole school programs such as dance, music, band and/or sport.


Exceptional teamwork, communication and organisation skills which build positive partnerships within the school and the wider community.







An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
