About the school
Aurora College is the NSW Department of Education’s partially selective virtual school. The college commenced in February 2015 as a key deliverable of the Rural and Remote Education – a Blueprint for Action. Aurora College is providing innovative, flexible learning in a whole new context, by allowing students to connect locally and learn globally. Students connect with their teachers and classmates in timetabled lessons through a virtual learning environment which comprises web conferencing software, a learning management system, and a range of cutting-edge online communication and collaboration tools.


About the role

Join a small team responsible for supporting a range of stakeholders in a unique environment. You will assist staff, schools, students, and parents with technology usage in the delivery of selective courses via online classrooms and systems. You will have the opportunity to be involved with technologies such as our 3D printing equipment, our livestream broadcast studio, and our virtual playground in the 3D virtual environment software iSee. Training will be provided for our custom systems.


Please note that the school will be relocating for Term 3, 2021 to the Lindfield Learning Village site.

  1. Outline your capacity to communicate effectively, work collaboratively and build positive relationships with students, staff and the broader school community with varying levels of ICT skills (300 or 400 words maximum)
  2. Please describe how you would deliver excellent levels of remote ICT support to stakeholders in remote locations utilising a diverse range of technologies to support learning, teaching and administration (300 or 400 words maximum).
